• Everyone who knows and likes us is invited.

This is our primary wedding celebration! We're very excited for it. We're going to serve food we love: pizza, salad, fruit, and cakes. We expect that the childrens will run around and lie on the grass. We hope that the adults will talk to each other and to us (and will help us try to avoid having the crowd ossify into a line). We'd love for everyone (especially the childrens) to join us for dancing. And we might have a cake walk. (!)

Note: Dress is outdoor wedding reception wear, Sunday clothes, etc. Men do not have to wear suits, although Jed will be in a suit. It is usually hot and windy in Vernon at 6 pm in August, but the evening can cool you off, so we recommend wearing layers. And the whole party will occur on grass (and you may have to drive/park/walk on some rough dirt roads before you even get to the grass), so we recommend comfortable shoes (not heels--unless you buy some nifty heel covers, like these) for the walking, milling, cake-walking, and dancing.

Also note: The Vernon property does not have plumbing, so we will be using port-a-potties. Very elegant. And woo! So fun!
